Idea in brief

Problem

When a woman gives birth to a disabled child in Bulgaria, she usually has to stay at home in order to look after her child full-time. Frequently, father leaves the family and she struggles with finances. As a result hundreds of disabled children live in poverty and in lack of medical care and procedures they need.

Solution

Elisaveta and Krasimira created an online platform where mothers from all over Bulgaria can sell their handcrafted objects. Ole Male sells them through different channels – bazaars, online markets, corporate clients. Their goal is to organize workshops and designer meetings to teach mothers how to improve their working skills with a view of becoming more financially sustainable.
